Characteristics

Shrub, up to 0.75 m high; young stems without many, patent, simple hairs. Leaves with blade broadly ovate, 30-160 x 20-120, narrowly triangular in apical portion, base cordate, apex long acuminate, upper leaf surface often slightly scabrid. Flowers: petals 10-15 mm long, orange-yellow and buff-coloured; Nov., Dec. Fruit with mericarps < 14 x 8 mm, apex of mericarps awned to obtusely angled, dark straw-coloured to purplish.
