Characteristics

Soft shrub (annual?), 0.2-1.5 m high; scantily branched. Leaves ovate-cordate, faintly 3-lobed, apex attenuate, margins crenate-dentate; dark green above, canescent below; petioles ± as long as blades. Flowers axillary, solitary; pedicels up to 70 mm long, articulated. Calyx cupuliform, lobes oblong-lanceolate. Petals yellow. Staminal tube stellate-pubescent. Flowering time Apr.? Fruit semi-globose. Mericarps 10-18, 3-seeded, apical edge ± convex with awn up to 2 mm long, ventral tooth small. Seeds verrucose-punctate.
