A small spreading shrub. The young branches are hairy. The leaves (phyllodes) are very small. They are 0.2-0.7 cm long by 0.05 cm thick. They are flattened and often curved. They occur in rings of 6-8 around the stalk. The flower heads are round and in the angles of the leaves. The flower stalk is 0.6 to 1.5 cm long. The pods are long and narrow (2.5-6 cm long by 0.6-0.7 cm wide). The pods do not have a stalk and are round in cross section. They are dark brown at maturity.
