Characteristics

Spreading shrub 0.3–1 m high. New shoots resinous. Branchlets sparsely to moderately appressed-puberulous; hairs golden or white. Phyllodes narrowly elliptic, straight to shallowly incurved basally, 2–4 cm long, 3–7 mm wide, acute to obtuse-mucronate, coriaceous, pale green, glabrous or sparsely appressed-hairy on margins or veins, with c. 3 main longitudinal veins and longitudinally anastomosing secondary veins forming an open reticulum; veins often white-resinous. Inflorescences rudimentary 1-headed racemes; raceme axes c. 1 mm long, terminated by a resin-coated vegetative bud at anthesis; peduncles 1–2 mm long, golden-puberulous; heads globular, 6–7 mm diam., (30–) 32–42-flowered, golden. Flowers 5-merous; sepals united from below middle to near apex; petals golden appressed-hairy. Pods (young) densely pilose/villous; hairs golden. Seeds not seen.
