Characteristics

Obconic shrub 0.7–1.5 m high. Branchlets sparingly appressed-puberulous, pilose or minutely so, viscid apically. Stipules persistent, narrowly triangular, 0.5–1 mm long, thickened. Phyllodes erect, obliquely oval or elliptic, 6–15 mm long, 4–9 mm wide, unequal at base, undulate, mostly obtuse or truncate, mucronulate, coriaceous, glabrous or sparsely hairy on veins and margins, glabrescent, with 2 or 3 ±raised main veins and reticulate in between. Inflorescences 1– (or 2–) headed racemes; raceme axes 2.5–6 mm long, sparingly appressed-puberulous to minutely pilose; peduncles 5–10 mm long, pubescent as axis; basal bract 1–1.5 mm long; heads globular to obloid, 5 mm diam., 45–60-flowered; bracteoles ovate to lanceolate, acuminate. Flowers 5-merous; sepals free. Pods narrowly oblong, to 3 cm long, 4–7 mm wide, villous. Seeds longitudinal, ovate, 3–3.5 mm long, brown; aril apical.
