Characteristics

Glabrous resinous shrub to 2.5 m high. Branchlets slender. Phyllodes patent to erect, linear, 4–6.5 cm long, shallowly incurved, 2.5–3 mm wide, l: w ratio = 15–25, narrowed towards base, obtuse-mucronulate, coriaceous; midrib and margins quite prominent; lateral veins obscure, ± parallel to midrib; gland obscure, 0.5–1.5 mm above pulvinus, with another at base of mucro. Inflorescences simple, 1 or 2 per axil; peduncles 8–10 mm long, ebracteate at base; heads globular, c. 30-flowered, golden. Flowers 5-merous; sepals united. Pods linear, convex over seeds, to 8 cm long, 3.5 mm wide, cinnamon brown. Seeds longitudinal, 3.3 mm long; funicle folded below the oblique aril.
