Characteristics

Shrub or tree 3–7 m high. Branchlets ±glabrous to appressed-puberulous. Phyllodes narrowly linear to linear-oblanceolate, mostly very shallowly incurved, 5–10 cm long, 2–4 mm wide, with an acute to short-acuminate and straight to uncinate apex, coriaceous, khaki green to greyish green, glabrous to sparsely appressed-puberulous, with numerous closely parallel obscure veins. Inflorescences 2–5-headed racemes; raceme axes 1.5–5 mm long, appressed-puberulous; peduncles 5–9 mm long, puberulous; heads globular, 4 mm diam., 13–18-flowered, resinous. Flowers 5-merous; sepals free. Pods linear, flat except slightly raised over and constricted between seeds, to 15 cm long, 5–6 mm wide, coriaceous, distinctly reticulate, glabrous. Seeds longitudinal, oblong, c. 5.5 mm long, dull, brown-black; funicle gradually enlarged towards minute, apical aril.
