Viscid aromatic shrub 1–5 m high, occasionally tree to 8–10 m; branches occasionally ±pendulous. Branchlets straight or very slightly flexuose, not pendulous, glabrous or appressed-puberulous on the fine ribs. Phyllodes normally elliptic or narrowly elliptic to lanceolate, straight to shallowly incurved, (3–) 5–12 cm long, (3–) 7–30 mm wide, mostly acute to acuminate, thinly textured, resinous-punctate, glabrous or appressed-puberulous on margins and main veins; 1-or 2-veined, lateral veins present or occasionally absent, often coalescing distally to form an almost continuous intra-marginal vein on either side of the prominent midrib; gland 0–8 mm above pulvinus. Inflorescences simple, 2 (–6) per axil, rarely short 1–3-headed racemes with axes 1–2 (–4) mm long; peduncles 2–6 (–7) per axil, (2–) 4–8 (–11) mm long, subglabrous to densely puberulous, the hairs straight to sub-crisped and appressed to sub-appressed or occasionally patent; basal peduncular bract mostly caducous; heads globular, pale yellow, 20–35-flowered. Flowers 5-merous; sepals united. Pods 4–8 cm long, 3–5 mm wide, thinly coriaceous to firmly chartaceous, glabrous. Seeds longitudinal, oblong-elliptic, 3.5–4 mm wide, shiny, dark brown to blackish.
Can be grown by seedlings. Seeds needs soaking.
