Petioles 2–5(–15) mm. long; leaf-blade elliptic-ovate to elliptic-lanceolate, 3–7(–11) cm. long, (1–)2–3(–5) cm. wide, acutely or subacutely long-acuminate, often mucronulate, usually narrowed to an obliquely rounded or shallowly cordate base, crenate, remotely serrulate or coarsely serrate, firmly membranous, pinnately nerved, lateral nerves 5–7 pairs, sparingly pubescent or pilose above and beneath, more evenly so on the midrib and main nerves beneath.. Stipules ovate-lanceolate to linear-lanceolate, 3–5(–12) mm. long, long-acuminate, pubescent without, ciliate, chestnut-brown..
