Characteristics

A tree. It grows 12-15 m high. It is partly parasitic on other plants. It has some spines. The trunk is erect and cylinder shaped. It is 20-35 cm across. The bark is light grey and rough. The leaves are oblong and taper to the tip and have a round base. They are papery and 10-20 cm long by 5-8 cm wide. The flowers are in the axils of leaves. The fruit is round and fleshy with a stone inside. The pulp is sweet and edible.

Cultivation
