Plants 0.5-1 m tall; leaves often arranged in a basal fan, conduplicate, keeled, linear, acute, margins finely denticulate, to 300 x 15 mm; cauline sheaths papery, narrowly lanceolate, to 70 mm long. Inflorescences simple, rather densely many-flowered, to 300 mm tall; bracts from half to as long as the pedicels. Flowers white or pale rose, rather membranous, c. 12 mm long; pedicels plus ovary c. 20 mm long, very slender. Sepals sub-equal, linear-triangular to lorate, acute, 10-13 x 2.5-3 mm. Petals covering the gynostemium, apices reflexed, narrowly oblanceolate, acute, 12-13 x 3.5-4 mm. Lip narrowly oblanceolate, 3-lobed, 13-15 x 6-8 mm, disc with 5 rows of papillae; midlobe rounded, margins crenulate and somewhat incurved; side lobes rounded, 2 mm long; spur subclavate, 3 mm long. Gynostemium with a 6-7 mm tall, slender column-part, foot developed as a pair of knobs.
