Leaves subsessile; blade obovate to elliptic, 8-25 x 5-14 mm, apex obtuse to rounded, base cuneate, margins few-toothed at apex or entire, densely hispid. Flowers: verticils 6-10-flowered; bracteoles poorly developed, linear; calyx 5-7 mm long, enlarging slightly at maturity, mouth symmetrical, 7-10-toothed, teeth deltoid-subulate, spine tipped, 1-2 mm long, densely hispid; corolla white; Aug.-May.
