Characteristics

Shrub to 5 m high. Branchlets cream, glabrous. Leaves coriaceous; petiole 4–12 mm long, cream-yellow; lamina length/petiole length ratio 6.5–23.8; lamina oblanceolate to obovate, rarely ± falcate, 57–120 mm long, 23–42 mm wide, base acute to attenuate, margin revolute, tip acuminate, rarely acute, midrib below prominently raised at lamina base (height greater than width), venation with tertiary vein orders distinct, lower surface pale green, glossy. Male flowers not seen. Fruit depressed-globose, rounded, 14–16 mm long, 14–15 mm diam.
