Petiole 3.5-6 cm, velutinous, glabrescent; leaf blade ovate to orbicular, 6.2-19 × 5.4-11.5 cm, papery, abaxially stellate tomentose, glabrescent, adaxially glabrous, lateral veins 6-8 pairs, apex shortly caudate or acuminate. Inflorescences 1-7-flowered; peduncle ca. 1.2 cm; pedicel 0.9-2 cm, velutinous. Flowers pink. Sepals 3-6, ovate, ca. 6 mm, velutinous. Petals 5, pink, or upper part white and lower part red, narrowly ovate, 1.4-1.7 cm. Ovary oblong, whitish tomentose. Fruit oblong, 2-4 cm, densely tomentose, with persistent reflexed sepals or not.
