Characteristics

Rhizomes creeping, short, scaly. Stipe dark castaneous, glossy, 5-12 cm; lamina 2-or 3-pinnate, narrowly ovate-triangular in outline, 4-10 × 3-4 cm; pinnae 3 or 4 each side, stalked; rachises and stalks zigzag, smooth; basal pair of pinnae slightly larger, 1-or 2-pinnate; pinnules 3 or 4 pairs per pinna, alternate, shortly stalked, fan-shaped, 5-10 × 4-6 mm, herbaceous, both surfaces glabrous, base cuneate, upper margin rounded, entire or shallowly 2-lobed. Sori (1 or)2(-4) per pinnule, on lobe apices of upper margin, oblong to linear; indusium reniform.
