Leaves 10–46-foliolate; leaflets 4–17 × 1.5–7 mm, oblong to obovate-oblong, rounded and mucronulate at the apex, oblique at the base, glabrous or slightly pubescent beneath when young, ciliolate or almost denticulate; main nerve ± central, venation slightly prominent; petiole and rhachis together 2–9.5(12) cm long, pubescent; petiolules 0.5 mm long; stipules 5–14 × 1–2.5(6) mm, linear to ovate-lanceolate, acuminate, unappendaged, subcordate or appendaged on one side, leaf-like, at first pubescent, later glabrescent, ciliolate, persistent.
Inflorescences axillary, several-flowered; peduncle 2 cm long; rhachis 4 cm long, pubescent; pedicels 4–8 mm long, pubescent; bracts 3–4 mm wide, 3-toothed, ± oblong, glabrous but ciliolate, very soon falling; bracteoles 2–3 × 0.5–1 mm, ovate-lanceolate or lanceolate, glabrous, soon falling.
Fruit of 1 article or 2 joined by a very narrow neck, each article semicircular, 5.5–10 × 4.5–7.5 mm, reticulate, either puberulous on the margins only or glandular pubescent all over.
Seeds dark reddish-brown, 4.8 × 3.8 × 1 mm, semicircular-reniform; hilum small, round, eccentric, the seed slightly beaked beyond it.
Calyx glabrous, 2-lipped; lips 5–6 × 2–4 mm, ovate, sometimes ciliolate, one 2-toothed, the other 3-toothed at the apex.
Standard bright yellow, 10–11 × 3–4.5 mm, violin-shaped; wings bright yellow; keel petals pale yellow, not laciniate.
Stems densely pubescent, mostly sticky, glabrescent below.
Erect subshrub 0.45–1(1.5) m tall.
