Characteristics

Lax erect aromatic shrub 0.6–4.5 m. tall.. Branchlets covered with thick brownish-red powdery bark; young stems densely covered with sticky tubercular-based hairs.. Leaves (6–)8–16-foliolate; leaflets obovate to oblong or elliptic, 0.5–l.7 cm. long, 2.5–8 mm. wide, emarginate to acute at the apex, obliquely rounded at the base, glabrous on both surfaces or pubescent beneath with tubercular-based hairs, denticulate-ciliate or ciliate or in some areas glabrous on the margins, several-nerved from the base, the main nerve basally eccentric; petiole and rhachis together (1–)2–4 cm. long; petiolules 0.5 mm. long; stipules ovate-lanceolate or ovate, 4.5–9 mm. long, 2–4 mm. wide, acute, rounded or slightly auriculate or appendaged at the base, veined..
