Shrub or dwarf shrub, up to 0.6 m high. Leaves 4-7 mm long, alternate, lanceolate or ovate-lanceolate, gland-dotted beneath. Flowers in terminal clusters, pale pink or white; bracteoles 2. Calyx 5-parted. Petals 5, 5 mm long, blade narrowly obovate; claw almost as long, slender, ciliate. Staminodes 4 mm long, opposite to petals, linear-oblong and villous at middle, tapering to a slender apex with a large gland, slender and ciliate below middle. Disc cupular. Ovary superior, of 3 almost free carpels, with rotund processes; style glabrous. Flowering time May-Oct. Fruit capsular, 3-carpellate.
Single-stemmed, stiff shrub to 60 cm, scarcely aromatic. Flowers in terminal clusters, pale pink or white. Fruits 3-chambered.
