Characteristics

Branchlets puberulous. Leaves 2-6 mm long, alternate, ascending, slightly recurved above the middle, ovate or ovate-lanceolate, obtuse, rounded at the base, slightly concave above, slightly convex and with many scattered glands beneath, glabrous. Flowers in terminal clusters. Peduncles 2.5-3 mm long, glabrous, or sparsely pubescent on the upper half, with linear bracteoles on the lower half. Sepals 0.75 mm long, oblong or deltoid-oblong, obtuse, convex beneath, glabrous. Petals 3-3.5 mm long; blade obovate, pubescent above on the nerve, with a gland behind the apex; claw about as long, cuneate-linear, ciliate. Stamens glabrous. Staminodes 2.5 mm long, linear, obtuse, tapering to a filiform base, tipped with a gland, pilose above on the lower half. Ovary glabrous, with 2 or, sometimes, 3 carpels bearing oblong processes. Style glabrous.
