Dwarf shrub, single-stemmed, up to 3 m high. Leaves 3-7 mm long, alternate, erect-spreading, elliptic, ovate or rotund, mucronate, slightly recurved; gland-crenulate at margins, usually with 2 or 3 rows of conspicuous glands beneath on either side of slightly raised nerve. Flowers in lax, terminal clusters, white with maroon dots; bracteoles absent. Sepals 2-3 mm long, reflexed. Petals 3.5-4.5 mm long, elliptic or elliptic-oblong, very obtuse, widely cuneate and puberulous above at base, with 2 rows of conspicuous glands beneath. Staminodes 1.5 mm long, oblong-or linear-lanceolate, obtuse or truncate, with a large gland behind apex, puberulous above or pubescent at margins. Ovary glabrous, 3(4)-carpellate with rotund processes; style glabrous. Flowering time July-Sept.
Single-stemmed, leafy, rounded shrub to over 3 m, acrid-smelling. Flowers in lax, terminal clusters, white with maroon dots. Fruits 3-chambered.
