Characteristics

Branchlets slender-wiry, puberulous. Leaves 1.5 mm long, alternate, spreading or reflexed, widely ovate, rotund or cordate, subacute or obtuse, slightly convex or flat above, often somewhat revolute at the margin, gibbous behind the apex, glabrous, with a few small glands and a slightly raised nerve beneath. Flowers in terminal clusters. Peduncles about 3.5 mm long, puberulous, with slender bracteoles on the lower half. Sepals 0.5-0.75 mm long, rotund, obtuse, minutely ciliate, convex and with distinct glands beneath. Petals 2 mm long, glabrous; blade elliptic, obtuse; claw half as long, linear. Stamens glabrous. Staminodes about 0.75 mm long, oblong-or elliptic-lanceolate, with an apical gland, concave and pubescent above on the lower half. Ovary glabrous, with 3 carpels bearing rotund processes. Style glabrous.
