Leaves opposite to alternate; petiole 2–8 mm long; lamina glaucous-green, fleshy, 3–12 × 2–7 cm, oblong-elliptic or elliptic to obovate, obtuse to rounded at apex, cuneate to attenuate at base, 3–5-nerved from near base.

Corolla 3–3.6 cm long, pink, paler over vents, darker at tip; basal swelling 0; lobes ultimately reflexed, 9–10 mm long, upper two-thirds linear-oblanceolate, slightly hardened inside.
Umbels axillary and at older nodes, 2–6-flowered; peduncle 0–1 mm long; pedicels 0.5–1 mm long; bract 2–3 mm long, cupular, with a small limb, ± glandular-papillate.
Style slender, pale; stigma brown, 1 mm across, depressed-globose.
Stamen filaments green, deflexed, tapered; anthers 2.5–3 mm long.
Berry red, 8–10 × 5–6 mm, ellipsoid-obovoid, verruculose.
Branchlets grey, glabrous, minutely papillate.
Calyx 1.5–2 mm long, tubular to cupular.
