Spreading and pendent shrub to 2 m., flowering mostly on relatively short lateral branches; branchlets slightly flattened, velvety with very short spreading branched hairs.. Leaves subopposite; petiole 5–10 mm. long; lamina slightly fleshy, linear-lanceolate to ovate or oblong-elliptic, 5–10 cm. long, 1.5–8 cm. wide, acute to obtuse at the apex, cuneate to rounded or cordate at the base, puberulous (more densely along midrib), ultimately glabrescent, with 4–6 pairs of spreading-ascending main lateral nerves.. Umbels 6–12-flowered; peduncle and pedicels 2–5 mm. long, velvety; bract-limb ovate-triangular, 2–3 mm. long.. Receptacle 3 mm. long, densely hairy.. Calyx cupular, 1–1.5 mm. long, slightly toothed.. Corolla 4.5–5.5 cm. long, pale orange-yellow, banded yellow around vents, sometimes greenish at the base, tip turning reddish, densely covered with branched hairs, the longer ones wispy and ± reddish; apex of buds oblong-ellipsoid to narrowly obovoid, 6–7 mm. long, 2.5–3 mm. in diameter, slightly ribbed below; basal swelling ovoid-ellipsoid, 7–8 mm. long, 4 mm. in diameter, narrowed for 4–5 mm. above; lobes erect, 9–11 mm. long, the upper expanded part linear-elliptic, 5.5–6.5 mm. long, 1–1.2 mm. wide, hardened inside.. Stamens red, inflexed; tooth 0.3–0.5 mm. long; anthers 3–4 mm. long.. Style red opposite vents, with a neck 3–4 mm. above; stigma capitate, 0.8–1 mm. across..
