Characteristics

Corolla 4.5–5 cm long, yellow-green below, orange above, with darker tip, downy with rusty-brown branched hairs 0.5–1 mm long; apex of buds 5–6 × 2.5–3.5 mm, oblong-ellipsoid, ± angled; basal swelling 7–8 × 4 mm, oblong-ellipsoid to obovoid-ellipsoid, narrowed for 3–5 mm above; lobes erect, 9–12 mm long, upper expanded part 6 × 1.2–1.5 mm, linear-elliptic or linear-lanceolate, hardened inside.

Leaves opposite or subopposite, with smaller more obovate ones at base of lateral shoots; petiole 8–15 mm long; lamina thinly coriaceous, 4.5–10 × 2–4.5 cm, ovate to oblong-elliptic, acute to obtuse at apex, cuneate to rounded at base, densely pubescent, ultimately glabrescent, with 2–4(6) pairs of main lateral nerves, the lower 1–2 pairs strongly ascending.
Bushy shrub flowering mostly on relatively short lateral branches; branchlets slightly flattened, velvety with short spreading hairs, the longer ones rusty-brown, branched and shed first.
Umbels 2–4-flowered; pedicels 3–5 mm long, a little longer than peduncle, both densely hairy; bract limb 3–4 mm long, ovate-triangular to oblong-triangular.
Stamen filaments inflexed; tooth 0.5–0.8 mm long; anthers 2.5–3.5 mm long.
Style with a neck 3–3.5 mm long; stigma 0.8–1 mm across, capitate.
Calyx 1–1.5 mm long, cupular, slightly toothed.
Berry 10 × 8 mm, ellipsoid, tomentellous.
Receptacle 2–2.5 mm long, densely hairy.
