Leaves undivided, sessile or nearly so, simple, broadest at the apex and thence ± evenly narrowed to the base, 4–15 × 2–5 mm., apically truncate and ± tridentate, with the acute, forward-directed teeth up to 1.5(–2) mm. deep, covered on both sides with long silvery hairs.. Flowers 1–3 together.. Calyx-tube 1.5 mm. long; calyx-lobes triangular, 1–1.5 mm. long; epicalyx-lobes lanceolate, shorter than the calyx-lobes.. Achenes usually 2.
