Tree to 7 m high. Branchlets hoary with short spreading hairs or glabrous, lenticellate. Leaves: lamina narrowly obovate-oblong or subelliptic truncate, obtuse, entire, acute at base, 3.5–12 cm long, 0.6–3 cm wide, glabrous; petiole 4–6 mm long. Flowers not seen. Fruit transversely ellipsoidal, 2-lobed, rarely 1-lobed, c. 1.3 cm long, 1.6–2.8 cm diam.; lobes globose, glabrous; pericarp drying hard and ± woody.
