Characteristics

Caules singulares vel pauci graciles-sat robusti 1.2-2(-3) mm diam. longitudinaliter slriati. Folia subcoriacea; basalia longe petiolata, petioli (2-)4-18 (-25) cm longi semiteretes, laminae 2-5(-10) cm longae 8-18 mm latae ovatae-oblongae(-lanceolatae) basibus rotundatae-subcordatae reticulato-nervosae marginibus serratae inarmatae vel saepius dentibus in setam vel spinulam 2-3 mm longam exeuntes et setis interdentalibus praeditae; caulina numerosa ima petiolata cetera sessilia lineari-lanceolata serrato-setoso-dentata adpressa. Capitula sat breviter pedunculata; bracteae involucrales 10 basibus connatae, 5 majores 4-6 mm longae oblongae acutae, 5 minores 2.5-3 mm longae; sepala 0.4 mm; styli 0.8 mm longi.
