Characteristics

Herba rosulata, rhizomate c. 20 x 7 mm, caule florifero solitario ad 20 cm alto. Folia radicalia c. 6-10; lamina ovata vel elliptica, 17-20 x 12-13 mm, marginibus foliorum exteriorum crenato-serratis interiorum acute serratis, dentibus setoso-apiculatis, setis exceptis glabra, nervis supra insculptis in pagina inferiore pallidiore fuscis conspicuis; folia caulina pcrpauca, oblonga, c. 12 x 3 mm, setifero-dentata et setifero-acuminata, basi auriculata setis longis brunneis dependentibus praedita. Umbellae c. 3-6, terminalis 10 mm diam., aliae minores. Involucri bracteae basi per 2 mm coalitae; 5 majores parte libera 5 x 3 mm, trinerviae; 5 minores parte libera 3 x 2 mm, uninerviae. Flores umbellae terminalis c. 14. Sepala triangularia 1 mm longa. Petala 2-5 mm, ovato-lanceolata, acuminata, a medio inflexa. Stamina filamentis albis l-5 mm longis, antheris pallide violaceis in alabastro inflexis lmni longis. Styli (stylopodio incluso) conico-cylindrici, 2-5 mm longi, ad basin verrucosi. Ovarium 1 mm longum, verrucosum. Fructus (e capitulo vetusto) 15 mm longus sepalis persistentibus exclusis, valde verrucosus.
