Characteristics

Caules singulares graciles-sat robusti 1-2.5 mm diam. sulcati parte superiore vel etiam e basi ramosi. Folia sat tenuia; basalia rosulata; petioli (1-)2-5(-15) cm longi supra canaliculati; lamina cordata 1.5 cm longa et lata vel saepius ovata et 3-4 cm longa 1.2-1.8 cm lata basi subcordata apice rotundata marginibus grosse dentata dentibus ciliis brevibus sat crassis e nervis incrassatis prominentibus munita et ciliis interdentalibus inflexis vel squarrosis praedita; folia caulina 0-pauca lanceolata grosse et remote dentata. Capitula ± longe pedun-culata; bracteae involucrales 10; 5 majores in statu florescendi c:a 4 mm longae ovatae acutae-apiculatae in statu fructifero 6-8 mm longae; 5 minores in statu florescendi 3-4 mm longae triangulari-oblongae in statu fructifero 5-6 mm longae; sepala c:a 1 mm longa oblongo-triangularia acuta tenuia; petala 1 mm longa; staminum filamenta 1-1.2 mm longa filiformia; antherae 0.5 mm longae ovoideae; mericarpia (non plane matura) 2 mm longa ovoidea; styli 1.5 mm longi anguste conici.

Underside of the leaf pale grey-green, with the veins which give rise to marginal cilia visibly raised and thickened at the tip of each dentation.
