Planta pumila 4-10 cm alta; caules singulares 0.8-1 mm diam. Folia basalia rosulata; petioli 2-4 cm longi supra canaliculati basin versus marginati; laminae 8-15 mm longae 4-7 mm latae ovatae sat crassae obscure nervosae marginibus subintegrae-leviter setoso-crenulato-dentatae et setis interdenlalibus praeditae; caulina pauca (vel nulla) parva anguste lanceolata amplexicaulia adpressa. Capitula pauca breviter pedunculata; bracteae involucrales majores 5 partibus liberis 4.5-5 mm longae ovatae prominenter reticulato-nervosae, minores 5 vel pauciores 1-2 mm longae; sepala 1 mm; styli ad 2 mm longi.
