Allium suaveolens Jacq.

An onion family plant.

Damp meadows and moors. Wet sites, or sites with variable water levels (damp meadows, rich fen meadows and reed beds). It prefers soils rich in nutrients and alkaline minerals, but can grow in neutral, loam-, clay-, and turf soils.

The flowers can be eaten raw or used as a garnish in salads.

Can be grown by divisions or seedlings. Seeds needs stratification.
