Anthers exserted 2-6 mm. Ovary ±3.0 x 1.0-1.5 mm, lemon; style exserted 3-6 mm. Fruit 10-13 x 6-7 mm, dark brown to dark grey. Flowering time (August to) October to December (to May).
More
Succulent, perennial shrub. Stems slender, 1-3 m high, branched, erectly spreading or scandent to recurved or decumbent, without persistent dried leaves. Leaves in lax rosette, glaucous-green, without spots, linear-lanceolate, 100-150 mm long, margins narrow, white, cartilaginous, with minute, white teeth; sheath obscurely green-lineate, not auriculate. Inflorescence simple or branched, ascending to erect, 0.3-0.4 m high, with cylindric, slightly acuminate, subdense to dense racemes. Flowers yellow, orange or red with yellow tips, 11-15 mm long; stamens and stigma well exserted. Flowering time all year.
Flowering Period: This is variable in different localities, and appears to depend to some extent on the rains. Although flowers have been recorded as far apart as August to May, it seems that October to December is the most frequent flowering time, but this requires further investigation.
Succulent herb, up to 3 m high. Stems leafless below but with lax apical tuft of leaves. Inflorescence 250-400 mm long, sublax to subdense. Pedicels 2-6 mm long. Perianth up to 20 mm long. Flowers lemon-yellow to scarlet.
