Characteristics

Fruticulus glaberrimus; caules ultra 40 cm longi, 4 mm diam., castanei, ramos numerosissimos, confertissimos, semi-erectos, 7-16 cm longos simplices, graciles, virides, angulosos emittens. Folia sparsa v. hinc inde nonnulla opposita, petiolo subnullo v. ad 0.5 mm longo insidentia, 5-10 mm longa, 1-1.5 mm lata, c basi cordata lanceolata acuta, submucronata, 1 nervia, margine sat revoluta, in sicco sublutescenti-viridia. Dichasia fere omnia triflora; floris medii pedicellus 2-4 mm longus, circ. medio bracteolatus; pedicelli laterales medium vix v. paullo superantes, medio v. infra medium bracteolati; bracteolae omnes circ. 1-1.5 mm longae; calyx circ. 2 mm longus, campanulatus, 8 nervis; lobi brevissime late triangulares, submucronati; appendices subnullae; petala rosea, obovata, circ. 2 mm longa; stamina 4, petalis opposita, ad tubi circ. 1/3 inserta, duabus tertiis partibus exserta; ovarium ellipsoideum, stylus staminibus manifeste brevior (an flores dimorphi?).
