Characteristics

Straggling and sprawling shrublet ca. 50 cm tall, nude below, leafy above. Branches woody; branchlets slender, tomentose, leafy or with small, but prominent cicatrices left from fallen leaves. Leaves ovate, acute, 4.5-10.0 x 1.5-3.0 mm, short petiolate; leaf margins recurved; upper and lower surface both sericeous. Inflorescences unifloral. Flowers 7-12, white or whitish, sub-sessile, aggregated umbelliform or capitate at the end of the branchlets. Pedicel 0.8-1.5 mm. Bract linear, 1.8-3.2 x 0.3-0.5 mm, apically rounded, sericeous. Calyx 5.2-6.0 mm sericeous; upper calyx lobes medially fuse to 1.6-2.5 mm from their apices, lower lobes larger 2. 3.5 mm, receptacular part 0.8-1.2 mm. Vexillum lamina suborbicular, emarginate, 6.5-8.0 x 5.2-6.0 mm; claw 1.7-2.6 mm. Ala blades oblong, 6.5-7.5 x 1.3-3.6 mm claws 2.8-3.2 mm. Carina blades obliquely oblong, 5.L 5.5 x 2.2-2.8 mm with a low bulge; claws 2.6-3.2 mm. Stamens 6.5-8.0 mm; staminal tube 3.0-43 mm-anthers 0.4-0.8 mm. Pistil 7.0-8.2 mm, uni-ovulate-ovary and lower part of style sericeous, upper part glabrous. Pod 7.0-8.0 x 3.8-40 mm, sericeous.
