Characteristics

Low dense shrublet. Branches erect, woody, tomentose or glabrous. Branchlets slender, diffuse, tomentose; upper part densely leafy, lower part with prominent cicatrices left from fallen leaves. Leaves lanceolate, acute, 5.0-7.0 x 1.2-1.8 mm, concave with leaf margins slightly incurved; upper surface sparsely sericeous, glabrescent, lower sericeous. Inflorescences unifloral, pedicellate. Pedicel 0.5-1.0 mm. Flowers axillary, scattered or few together capitate at the end of the branchlets. Bract triangular, acute, 1.2-1.6 x 0.4-0.5 mm, sericeous. Calyx 3.5-3.9 mm, sericeous; calyx lobes triangular, acute; upper ones medially fused to 0.7-1.1 mm from their apices, lower ones 1.9-2.0 mm; lower receptacular part 1.0-1.1 mm. Corolla pink and dark violet. Vexillum lamina pink, quadri-orbicular, 5.2 x 4.8-5.0 mm large, emarginate; claw 1.5-1.8 mm. Ala blades pink, oblong, 4.4-5.0 x 1.8-2.0 mm; claws 2.5-3.0 mm. Carina blades dark violet, cymbiform, 3.3-4.2 x 1.4-1.6 mm with a small basal bulge; claws 2.5-3.0 mm. Stamens 5.0-6.2 mm; staminal tube 3.0-3.4 mm; anthers 0.3-0.5 mm. Pistil 6.0-7.0 mm, uni-or rarely biovulate; ovary sericeous, style glabrous, upcurved. Pod ovate acuminate, ca. 10.0 x 4.0 mm large, sericeous.
