Characteristics

Succulent, perennial herb, 0.03-0.06 m high; branching, shoots columnar, taller than wide. Leaves dense, small, obovoid, rounded or truncate, reddish green; axils woolly, bristle hairs many, glossy, white. Inflorescences ± 65 mm high, branched; peduncles ± 25 mm long; bracts membranous, sheathing. Flowers white. Stamens ± 25. Flowering time Oct.-Jan. Fruit a capsule, 10 mm long. Seeds with long, white papillose protrusions.
