Inner bracts stipitate; claw narrowly obovate, 3.5-4(-4.5) mm long and c. 1 mm wide above, light brown-light green, outside glabrous or sparsely woolly, margins densely woolly; lamina transversely broadly elliptic, c. 1 mm long and 2-2.5 mm wide, white, opaque, (truncate-)premorse. Female floret 1. Corolla 2.5 mm long, often purple in the middle. Pappus bristles c. 10, 0.4-0.6 mm long, otherwise as in male florets.
