Suffrutex, normally little-branched. Branches ± closely leafy to the corymb sparsely leafy above, pilose-woolly when young, glabrous and nude and marked with leaf-scars with age. Leaves suberect-erecto-patent, narrowly oblong-narrowly elliptic, 0.5-1.5 cm long and (1-)1.5-2 mm wide, mucronate, bluntly-acutely scabrid and sparsely pilose with spreading white hairs on upper side. Corymbophore 0 or up to 4 cm long and 1-1.5 mm in diameter, densely pilose-woolly with white-brownish hairs. Corymb (0.8-)1-2 cm wide. Peduncles c. 5 mm long and densely pilose-woolly. Capitula few, 9-12-flowered. Involucral bracts (23-)25-35(-45). Outer bracts linear-narrowly oblong-narrowly elliptic, (3.5-)4.5-5.5 mm long and 0.5-0.8(-1) mm wide, brown with a darker brown apex, much acuminate, outside and margins except the tip very densely sericeous with brownish hairs. Middle bracts few, narrowly elliptic-narrowly obovate, (5-)5.5-6 mm long and (0.5-)1 mm wide, apical part whitish and opaque, remaining part light brown, acute, outside and margins except apical part sericeous-woolly with brownish hairs. Inner bracts stipitate; claw narrowly elliptic-narrowly obovate, (3.5-)4-4. long and c. 1 mm wide, light brown, outside and margins sericeous-woolly with brownish hairs; lamina elliptic-broadly elliptic, (2-)2.5-3 mm long and 1.4-1.7 mm wide, white, opaque, obtuse. Female floret 1. Corolla (2-)2.2-2.6 mm long. Pappus bristles 8-10, 1.2-1.7 mm long, otherwise as in male florets. Achene narrowly oblong-narrowly elliptic, (1.3-)1.5-2(-2.2) mm long and 0.5-1.1 mm wide, dark brown, densely sericeous-tomentose with yellowish hairs. Male florets 8-11. Corolla (2.5-)2.8-3.2 mm long. Pappus bristles 10-15, 2-2.5 mm long, whitish, flexuous, sparsely barbellate with small lateral teeth, free at the base.

Grey-woolly shrublet to 30 cm, closely leafy below. Leaves narrowly elliptic to oblong, margins revolute, green and thinly hairy above. Flower heads discoid, small, many in dense, rounded clusters on short peduncles, yellow, bracts white and brown.
