Perennial herb, up to ± 0.2 m high, when in flower up to 0.7 m high. Rootstock of few (up to 5?), fascicled tubers. Leaves present at flowering, in needle-like segments, mostly trifid. Main umbel of 2-4(-6) rays. Flowering time Jan., Feb. Fruit with mericarps homomorphic, ribs not expanded into wings, narrowly oblong.
