Characteristics

Subshrubs, 40-70 cm tall. Stem erect or creeping; young shoots with appressed soft hairs. Petiole 5-7 mm; leaflet blade narrowly obovate or narrowly elliptic, 1-1.8 cm × 3-8 mm, abaxially appressed pilose, adaxially glabrous, base cuneate to rounded, apex obtuse, mucronate. Inflorescences terminal or axillary, simple, 5-15 cm. Pedicel 2-3 mm. Calyx ca. 3.5 mm; lobes lanceolate, ca. 2 × as long as tube. Standard 5-7 × 2.5-4 mm, not auriculate and clawed; wings 5-7.5 × 0.8-1.3 mm, ± auriculate, claw 1.5-2.5 mm. Ovary puberulent, 2-ovuled; style glabrous. Legume erect, ca. 1 cm, both sutures deeply indented; articles transversely broadly elliptic to orbicular, with dense appressed or spreading hairs, reticulate. Seeds transversely broadly elliptic to transversely elliptic, ca. 1 × 1.2-1.5 mm. Fl. Aug-Sep, fr. Sep-Oct. 2n = 22.
