Characteristics

A small, branched shrub which vegetatively agrees well with forms of A. marginata, having flat, obovate, coriaceous, glabrous leaflets 3-6 x 2-3.5 mm, which are glabrous, mucronate-acuminate, and have a distinct mid-vein on the lower side. Inflorescence a terminal group or small head of 3-5 or more flowers. Bract ±1 mm long, oblong-subulate. Pedicel ±1 mm long, puberulous. Bracteoles ±0.5 mm long, conical-subulate, 3-4.5 mm longer than the others. Petals yellow. Standard blade ±4.5 x 5 mm, obtuse, sericeous on the back. Wing blades oblong, ±6.2 x 2 mm, glabrous. Keel blades ±5.5 x 3 mm, sericeous on lower third or less. Pistil hairy only on the upper part of the ovary and style base; ovules 2. Pods not seen.
