Characteristics

Erect shrub or shrublet 0.4-0.8(-1) m tall, sometimes rather much branched. Young branches short-tomentose. Leaflets usually 4-8 x 0.6-1.7 mm. Inflorescence elongate, sparser than in A. callos, (4-)8-20-flowered. Flowers rather small. Bract 2-2.8 x 0.5-1 mm. Pedicel ± puberulous, 1-2 mm long. Bracteoles 1.4-3.5 x 0.2-0.7 mm. Calyx lobes 1.7-3.0 mm long. Standard blade 4.5-5.8 x 3.2-5 mm. Wing blades 3.5-4.5 x 1.5-2 mm. Keel blades 3.2-4 x 1.5-2 mm. Pistil: ovules 2 or 3. Pod 8-11 x 3-4 mm.
