Cladodes in fascicles of 3– 15, grooved, unequal, 4– 15 mm long, spine-like at the tip.. Flowers solitary or paired in cladode fascicle on terminal branches; bracts elliptic, 1× 0.5 mm, acute at apex; pedicel 2– 3 mm long, articulated ± in the middle.. Tepals white, 3– 3.5 mm long; ovary 3-locular; style ± 0.7 mm long with 3-branched stigma.. Berry red, 5– 7 mm in diameter.
