Characteristics

Woody lianas, usually scandent; branchlets terete, glabrous. Petioles 2-3 cm, glabrous; leaf blade ovate, 7-12 × 4.5-6 cm, thinly leathery, abaxially glabrous, adaxially deep green, both surfaces glaucous, base rounded, apex caudate-acuminate; lateral veins 9 or 10 pairs, parallel, anastomosing near margin, veinlets reticulate, indistinct. Cymose panicles terminal, ca. 25 cm in fruit, glabrous. Flower not seen. Samara milky white, suborbicular, 1-1.2 cm in diam., membranous. Fr. Dec.
