Characteristics

Plants 20-45 cm tall, vegetative parts glabrous or very sparsely furnished with appressed nearly only white hairs 0.05-0.2 mm. Stems erect, 20-25 cm, branched, glabrous or with a few scattered hairs. Leaves 2-8 cm, subsessile or with a petiole up to 0.8 mm; stipules whitish or greenish membranous, 1-3 mm, narrowly triangular or with subulate tip; rachis slender, glabrous or very sparsely hairy; leaflets in 1(or 2) pairs, some­times only 1 terminal leaflet present, linear, 10-30 × 0.5-1.5 mm, abaxially sparsely to rather densely covered with ± ap­pressed to subappressed hairs, adaxially glabrous or sparsely hairy, apex rounded to retuse. Racemes 4-8 cm, loosely many flowered, elongating in fruit; peduncle 4-11 cm, glabrous; bracts 0.5-1 mm, glabrous or with a few hairs. Calyx 1.5-2 mm, loosely covered with appressed white hairs 0.05-0.1 mm; teeth all crowded at lower side, 0.3-0.5 mm. Petals white, cream, yellow, purple, or violet with dark spots; standard orbicular, 4-5.5 × ca. 5 mm, apex emarginate; wings 5-5.5 mm, limbs obliquely emarginate; keel ca. 4.5 mm. Legumes sessile, widely obliquely ellipsoid, 2.5-4 mm, 2-2.5 mm high and ca. 2 mm wide, rounded at apex, 2-locular; valves transversely rugulose, glabrous.
