Folia petiolata, ovata, apice obtusa, margine remote paucidentata, basi cuneata, trinervia; petiolo 3-6 mm. longo, dense pubescente; lamina 9-15 mm. longa, 5-9 mm. lata, sparse pubescente; folia florifera minora tamen. Flores axillares, singulares ad nodos, breviter pedicellati; pedicello pubescente, 1.5-2 mm. longo. Bracteoli 2, inconspicui, lineares, pedicello breviores. Calyx 5-partitus, lobis linearibus, subacutis, pilosis, 9 mm. longis, 0.8 mm. latis, tubo 1 mm. longo. Corolla caerulea, extus pilosa, intus fere glabra, tubo infundibuliformi, intus palato duplo munito, 11 mm. longo, in fauce 7 mm. diam., lobis ovatis, 7 mm. longis, lobo inferiore in alabastro exteriore, 7 mm. longo, 5 mm. lato, lobis aliis 3 mm. latis. Stamina 4, ad medium tubum inserta, filamentis staminum inferiorum 4 mm. longis, staminum exteriorum 2.5 mm. longis, antherarum loculis in altitudinibus diversis insertis, apice basique obtusis. Granulae pollinis globulares, poris tribus munita, sculptura typica Asystasiearum. Discus annularis, margine inconspicue crenata. Ovarium ellipticum, in parte superiore longe pilosum, 2 mm. longum, 4-ovulare. Stylus in parte inferiore pilosus, ceterum glaber, 8 mm. longus. Stigmata 2, obtusa, 0.5 mm. longa. Fructus breviter stipitatus, 13 mm. longus, 3.5 mm. latus, glaber, acutus, plerumque biseminalis. Semina complanata, semicordata, 4 mm. longa, 2.5 mm. lata; faciebus rugulosis; margine incrassato, in latere breviore laevi, in latere longiore dentibus duobus an tribus munito.
