Conflorescence terminal, axillary, or ramiflorous, unbranched; flower pairs bracteate, pedunculate. Flowers actinomorphic, bisexual, bracteate, pedicellate. Tepals not coherent, revolute. Staminal filaments adnate to tepals; anthers free, oblong, apiculate. Hypogynous glands 4, free, fleshy, truncate. Ovary sessile; style filiform, terminated by ellipsoidal pollen presenter; stigma terminal. Fruit lenticular, indehiscent; outer mesocarp succulent, with radiating vascular strands; inner mesocarp bony, reticulate-foveate. Seed 1, wingless, fleshy.
