Leaves ovate, cordate at base; lamina 15–28 mm long, 15–25 mm wide, dentate, acute, hispid on both sides, sparsely so above. Male flowers ?solitary; pedicels 1–2 mm long; hypanthium broadly campanulate, 1 mm long; calyx-lobes subulate, 0.5 mm long; corolla-lobes ovate, 0.8–1 mm long, acute, greenish yellow; anther locules slightly curved; connective appendages absent; disc absent. Female flowers solitary; pedicels 2–4 mm long; staminodes minute; ovary ellipsoidal, 2–5 mm long, sparsely hispid; ovules few; disc absent. Fruit ellipsoidal, 8–14 mm long, 6–10 mm diam., glabrescent; pedicel to 10 mm long. Seeds 3–5, ovate, 7–8 mm long, compressed, smooth, pale buff; margin thickened.
