Nearly stemless, cormous geophyte, up to 80 mm tall, stem hispid. Leaves sword-shaped to lanceolate, pleated, hairy, inclined. Flowers 4-9 in a decumbent, secund spike, bilabiate, blue to violet with white nectar guides, sweetly scented, perianth tube cylindrical, 25-35 mm long, bent near the apex, dorsal tepals about as long to longer than the tube, ovary smooth, bracts velvety, the inner forked apically, the tips attenuate.
