Climbers. Leaves simple. Tendrils proximally bifid. Flowers of moderate size, yellowish, dioecious. Male flowers racemose, ± shortly pedicellate, with a coaxillary rather longer-pedicellate flower arising from the base of the raceme; buds practically spherical; receptacle-tube very short; lobes small; petals 5, entire, free; stamens 5, all 1-thecous, free; filaments inserted on the receptacle-tube; thecae triplicate, ± contorted. Female flowers racemose; ovary ± ellipsoid; ovules many, horizontal; receptacle-tube short and broad; staminodes 5, subulate. Fruit and seeds unknown.
